What should I ask to change about bulk square veneers? (Photos)

I had porcelain veneers placed about a month ago and I have been disappointed with the results. My teeth had composite bonding that had been placed about 18 years ago and I was told that it could not be removed and my best option was veneers. I received 8 top veneers and a gingivectomy the same day. The first day I was in shock and the dentist filedthem shorter and tried to make them less bulky. Now that my gums have healed I feel like they are bulky and square. What should I ask to change?

The veneers can be contoured to the shape you like, but there are 2 variables:1. The dentist may not have the artistic skills to free hand the shape 2. It may weaken the porcelains and the mister will be less even if polished chairside You can ask for new veneers but you will likely need to pay again since you so priced of them to be cemented permanently and if the lab technician he or she uses is not gifted, you may not get better veneers. If you choose this option, i suggest you take close up photos of veneers you love. I think gum contouring will help w the overall look as well. Most importantly talk to your dentist about the options he or she can offer. Best to you. Dr Ahn
