Shaved mole on nose left deep scar, Are there procedures that can minimize its appearance? (photos)

Hi Experts, 2 years ago I had this mole shaved off. The doctor without any scar treatment experience suggested making a cut and then stitching this back together - what is your opinion on such option and do you have any suggestion from similar treatment to a crater on the nose? (I understand the skin may be different on the nose to rest of the face)
