Hello, Had an extend tummy tuck done 3 months ago. Satisfied with the results an recovery seems to be going well. Due to the amount of adipose tissue left on flanks and lower back considering a touch up of said areas with BodyTite in 6-9 months. Would such a procedure be possible due to tummy tuck scar going across the flanks and into the lower back? Are there additional tings to consider besides the scar? My plastic surgeon does not do bodytite, will have to find another. Much appreciated.
Answer: Bodytite after an extended tummy tuck Thank you for your question. BodyTite is an effective body contouring option that combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with liposuction to eliminate stubborn fat and tighten skin without invasive surgery. It is particularly beneficial for areas such as the abdomen, arms, thighs, and flanks, where excess fat and loose skin reside. Recovery from BodyTite is generally quicker than with traditional liposuction in many cases. Bodytite stimulates collagen production, which promotes smoother, firmer skin over time, thus resulting in more natural-looking outcomes. It is typically wise to wait 6 to 12 months after a tummy tuck before considering BodyTite to allow the body to heal properly and for all swelling to go down. It is advised to consult with several specialists in person to assess how you are healing and if Bodytite is a good option for you. Good luck on your journey. Sincerely, Dr. Adam Kinal

Answer: BodyTite after extend Tummy Tuck Combining BodyTite treatment for the flanks and lower back after an extended tummy tuck is feasible and may provide complementary benefits to enhance overall body contouring. Here’s what to consider: Extended Tummy Tuck: An extended tummy tuck typically involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen and can extend around the flanks (love handles) and lower back. It aims to achieve a smoother and tighter abdominal contour. BodyTite for Flanks and Lower Back: Purpose: BodyTite uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction to target and reduce stubborn fat deposits while simultaneously promoting skin tightening. Complementary Treatment: After an extended tummy tuck, BodyTite can further refine the contour of the flanks and lower back, addressing areas that may not have been fully addressed during the tummy tuck procedure. Enhancing Results: By targeting the flanks and lower back with BodyTite, you can achieve a more balanced and sculpted appearance, enhancing the overall results of your abdominal contouring surgery. Consultation with a Plastic Surgeon: It’s crucial to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring procedures. They can evaluate your specific anatomy, assess the results of your previous tummy tuck, and discuss your goals for further enhancement with BodyTite. Recovery and Post-Operative Care: Recovery after BodyTite for the flanks and lower back is generally similar to recovery after liposuction. You may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort, which can be managed with medications and compression garments. Follow your surgeon’s post-operative care instructions carefully to optimize healing and results. In summary, combining BodyTite treatment for the flanks and lower back after an extended tummy tuck can be an effective way to achieve comprehensive body contouring results. It’s essential to have a thorough consultation with your surgeon to ensure that BodyTite is suitable for your specific needs and goals, and to plan for an optimal outcome.

Answer: BodyTite Hello, It is possible. BodyTite leaves minimal scars, if any, that fade with time. The recovery period is also minimal compared to a traditional liposuction. BodyTite uses Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL) to melt fat cells and uses this same energy to tighten the skin during the procedure. I hope this helps, good luck !
