Armpit got burned after treatment? (Photo)

Question

I just had a laser hair removal treatment on my armpit yesterday. After the treatment it was so painful especially when I put my arms down then i woke up this morning and found burn patches on both armpits. Is this normal? Will this leave dark spots now or this will go away eventually? I still have 4 more session of this that I already paid for.

If you go back they will definitely need to use a more conservative setting, because it seems that the settings that were used here were way too strong for your skin. After post laser burns heal they can leave a dark spot, especially if you have a history of hyper pigmentation or scarring easily. However, you can use products to lighten it if it does become darker.

This will eventually fade and it will not be noticeable. If the area is still dark after 1-2 weeks you may want to use hydroquinone to lighten it. During your next treatment, show this picture and let the provider know that you were burnt last time so they can change the settings.
