Will taking Nutrafol supplements which have curcumin mitigate effectiveness?

Nutrafol is a supplement that is advertised to help with hairloss, but it does contain curcumin which is anti-inflammatory, Would taking that supplement hinder the effectiveness of the PRP injections?

Hair loss is multifactorial and thought to be partially caused by a micro inflammatory process of the hair follicle. PRP is anti-inflammatory and therefore helps both scarring and non scarring alopecia. Adding Curcumin only increases the effectiveness of the PRP. Find a PRP expert.

Any type of antiinflammtory should be discounted 7-5 days before such as nsaids so in theory curcumin which is an antiinflammtory should be discontinued as well although there has not been significant study , peer review I. JAAD to show evidence that it interferes with prp. So we need more data to support this.

Hello, and thank you for your question. We would highly recommend taking Nutrafol while doing PRP for the scalp. These two have no contraindications and are proven to work well together in helping grow hair and making it thicker and longer. Good luck in your hair journey!
