Is there any way to repair the hair or is FUE the only option I have to fix it? Its patchy and looks awful. I can't grow a beard and has left me im utter depression.

But before going forward with FUE, you need to ensure that the cause of beard loss is due to IPL and not dermatologic diseases such as alopecia areata.

IPL uses light and heat to destroy hair follicles to prevent regrowth. If the follicles are successfully destroyed, there is no therapy that can regrow them. You will need a hair transplant to restore density to your beard.
