Is there any way to repair the hair or is FUE the only option I have to fix it? Its patchy and looks awful. I can't grow a beard and has left me im utter depression.

FUE hair restoration can help for scalp, beard, and eyebrows, the grafts are removed from the back of the scalp and then implanted in areas of the scalp or beard which need to be restored. But before going forward with FUE, you need to ensure that the cause of beard loss is due to IPL and not dermatologic diseases such as alopecia areata.

IPL uses light and heat to destroy hair follicles to prevent regrowth. If the follicles are successfully destroyed, there is no therapy that can regrow them. You will need a hair transplant to restore density to your beard.
