Is Ellacor an absolute no-no for people with facial implants?

Question

I was reading that Ellacor is not recommended for people with facial implants (e.g. cheek or chin implants). What is the reason behind this recommendation? If it is a major contraindication, is there any treatment you would recommend with similar results?

Hmmm... I'm rereading the contraindications.  Facial implants typically are much deeper than Ellacor goes.  I think risk of infection to the implant would be the concern and I think I would just pretreat (like standard surgery) with antibiotics and take them also for 1-3 days after the Ellacor treatment to be safe. I would recommend discussing this with your Plastic Surgeon. The concern relates to wanting to avoid any complications including injury of the implant or infection. After an examination, your surgeon can answer the probability of this occurring and if other options would be more beneficial.
