I am fair skinned, 5'4" and 120 lbs. I bruise easily but have healed at a normal pace to any cuts and surgeries. Three months ago I had ablative CO2 laser surgery under my eyes only. I agreed to a light resurfacing, nothing aggressive, but still ablative. The surgeon assured me that's what he will do. After the resurfacing, it was evident the procedure was too aggressive, as I had holes in my skin around my eyes. It took a full 2 weeks for the skin surface to begin to look even.

Keloid scars are inherently inflamed. It is not a good idea to increase the inflammatory load on a keloid for fear that it may further incite growth. Some surgeons, including myself, believe in laser assisted delivery of corticosteroids as a good option.
