3 months post op - can my prolonged hyperpigmentation be a permanent result of aggressive treatment? (photos)

Asked By:brandyskin in Seattle, Washington

I am fair skinned, 5'4" and 120 lbs. I bruise easily but have healed at a normal pace to any cuts and surgeries. Three months ago I had ablative CO2 laser surgery under my eyes only. I agreed to a light resurfacing, nothing aggressive, but still ablative. The surgeon assured me that's what he will do. After the resurfacing, it was evident the procedure was too aggressive, as I had holes in my skin around my eyes. It took a full 2 weeks for the skin surface to begin to look even.
