Is this yellow crust inside my nose normal? (photos)

Crusting after nasal surgery or rhinoplasty is normal and usually due to dryness or healing incisions. At 7 months, it is likely some residual dryness of the mucosa. The crusting in your photo appears normal but I suggest having your surgeon examine your nose at your next visit to ensure that area is well healed. 

The cresting you are referring to is a collection of mucus on the the vibrissa or nasal hairs. These can be cleaned directly. Generally after seven months this is probably a result of allergy. Steroid aerosol may be indicated.

Thanks for your question. Of course its hard to give a concrete answer based just on pictures, but I would not be too concerned. There are a lot changes that occur inside the nose after rhinoplasty, and this leads to a lot crusting. It is part of the healing process. If your doctor is not concerned about infection, an easy way to address these problems is with a sinus rinse (salt water). This will reduce the crusting and your chance of getting a real infection. Dear sureso23, Some crusting after rhinoplasty is normal however seven months post surgery is a prolonged recovery period. I would speak with your surgeon regarding treatment of the crusting.
