Swelling and scabs after Cutera Excel V face treatment. What can I do help to reduce the swelling?

I had a Cutera Excel V laser treatment for spider veins and redness on my cheek and chin. I did the treatment on Tuesday, today Thursday my eyes were closed shut when I woke up. My face is so tight and swollen :-( I called my doctor yesterday and he prescribed me Prednisone 20mg. are the red scabs will go away soon? Help!!!

I think any OTC medication is fine but to follow your doctor's advice, Tylenol is probably definitely ok. The concern is that anti-inflammatory medications can lessen your final results. I believe that this is more theoretical than proven.

The excel V is an excellent system for your situation because it has both wavelengths to resolve or reduce your problems. The ktp for the red lid and the 1064 for the blue veins. However you must go to a physician who really understands the laser and the area being treated. Protective contacts...

There is always swelling with the Excel V laser treatments. It will not affect tear trough or fat. Perhaps some topical steroids will be helpful.
