How many PICO Genesis treatments are needed to see effects?

I have seen astounding results with Pico Genesis treatments in my practice. I usually recommend 3 treatments spaced one month apart for patients who have not had previous treatments. 

Hello, and thank you for your question! This will depend largely on the extent of your concerns and your natural skin type. The PICO Genesis laser is designed to treat hyperpigmentation, sun damage, age spots and melasma, and can also improve skin texture by reducing the appearance of pores, shrinking fine lines and wrinkles and helping to treat acne. If you only have one or two mild concerns (e.g. a few freckles and blemishes) you may be able to see results after just one treatment. More serious concerns (such as melasma and acne scarring) can take three to five sessions, usually spaced two weeks apart. You will need to schedule an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist in your area; their expert evaluation will help you learn more about what to expect from your PICO Genesis treatments. This will depend on the condition being treated.  For example, simple sun spots can be erased usually in one treatment.  On the other hand, challenging conditions like Melasma will be improved, but will require maintenance to achieve best results. 

The Enlighten 3 offers  picogenesis and we often see patients have significant effects in only 2 treatments. Usually we perform 2-4 on most of our patients to obtain desired effects.

Hi - we love our Pico laser.  It usually takes between 2-5 treatments to have a substantial effect.  Less treatments for dark spots and pigmented lesions, and more treatments for refractory (hard to treat) melasma.  For the melasma, we have to use very low settings  to minimize an inflammatory response.  Anti-aging effects can be seen in a couple of treatments.
