I had a PICO Genesis laser treatment for the first time on Monday Afternoon and my face is bumpy, red and itchy. I know that it takes about 7 days to see the benefits of the treatment but I wanted to know if this is a normal or common reaction to have shortly after treatment. I have included some pictures. It is now Thursday and it is still red, bumpy and itchy! Has anyone else had an experience like this? Any advice?

Itching can be a normal respons after a laser treatment and can be improved with antihistamines. I recommend following up with your Doctor about appropriate after care. Best, Dr. Emer
HI,
By your description, I think you should certainly seek Picosecond technology and we love love our Enlighten for Picogenesis.
I think this has a great likelihood of getting these dark spots that other Lasers failed to remove.
Best of luck,
Dr. Amy
Yes, once your skin has completely healed, you can restart your AHA, BHA regime. Make sure you sun protect, and possibly consider a bleaching cream if the areas darken. All the bestDr Davin Lim Laser DermatologistBrisbane, Australia.
