There is no effective treatment for hair loss.  If you have the genes for genetic male pattern balding, then the only two medications that seem to work are Propecia and Rogaine.  It is it.In October 2000, the United States Food and Drug Administration warned one MSM promoter, Karl Loren, to cease and desist from making therapeutic claims for MSM

If you have thinning hair you really need an evaluation to see if it is genetic or from another cause like stress or autoimmune.  If it is determined to be genetic there are many options and traditional treatments like rogaine foam and propecia pills can be used.  I have great success in my practice using injectable progesterone and prp to the scalp.  I suggest seeing a dermatologist with expertise in hair loss.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Too many young men look to potentially dangerous drugs to treat hair loss when they should be looking to the drug Propecia (finasteride), which is the most effective drug for men.
