After a surgical lip lift, it’s generally best to allow adequate healing before introducing additional treatments such as a lip flip (Botox) or dermal fillers. Most surgeons recommend waiting around 8–12 weeks (about 2–3 months) to ensure incisions are fully healed, swelling has resolved, and tissues have settled.Doing these treatments too soon can interfere with healing or alter your surgical results. Once healing is complete, a lip flip or filler can be safely added to refine lip shape, balance, or volume.
I typically have my patients wait around 3 months. Most of my patients post lip lift don't end up using botox or filler afterwards since a lip lift can create a fuller lift and lift it much more robustly than filler and/or botox. If you are still needing volume later on, consider waiting 3 months or even more and choose a skilled injector. Cheers
Dear deviii00,I often advise my patients to wait until the localised swelling settles after surgical lip lift before considering lip fillers/lip flip. This is because sometimes, lip fillers can cause further swelling and lip flip may not be necessarily needed after a surgical lip lift. Transient swelling from lip lift often recede after 2-3 weeks.Sincerely yours,Drkenbrito
Yes, you will need to wait at least 3 months after the lip lift before getting any filler. Botox could possibly be done sooner if you are healing well.
You have lost some movement on that side so Botox can be used on the opposite side to weaken the lip and look more even.

Based on your description and photo, the small dark spot you’re noticing may represent a few possibilities: it could be a mucous retention cyst (mucocele), a clogged salivary gland duct, a vascular lesion, or scar tissue related to prior filler or trauma from attempts at self-removal. Since it h...
