I wanted to know if it is possible to get Sculptra in cheeks after getting thread-lifts? Wouldn't the needle from the Sculptra injection break the threads? Also, since the compounds are different, is it safe for both to be in the face?
Answer: Thread Lift + Sculptra Yes! Hello Christalent and thank you for your question! Yes, it is generally safe to have both Sculptra and thread lifts in the same area, as long as the timing and technique are carefully considered. Once your threads have fully settled (usually after about 4–6 weeks), Sculptra can be safely injected without disrupting them. Experienced injectors know how to avoid the thread paths, so the risk of breaking them with a needle is very low. As for the compounds, they’re actually quite compatible. Threads (typically made of PDO or PLLA) and Sculptra (PLLA) both stimulate collagen in different ways—threads offer mechanical lift and Sculptra provides volume and long-term collagen stimulation. When done properly, the combination can enhance overall results, giving both lift and structure. A consultation can help determine the right timing and placement to ensure everything works synergistically. Best of luck! Answer: Sculptra Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. Yes, it is possible to get Sculptra in your cheeks after having thread lifts, but there are some important considerations. Sculptra is injected deep into the skin to stimulate collagen production, while thread lifts involve the placement of threads under the skin for lifting and support. If you decide to proceed with Sculptra, it’s crucial to wait a sufficient amount of time after your thread lift to allow the threads to settle properly. This can typically be around 4 to 6 weeks. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Sculptra After Thread Lift: Safety and Considerations Hello, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the use of Sculptra following a thread lift procedure. These are both popular treatments for facial rejuvenation, and your questions are very valid. Compatibility and Safety: It is generally safe to use Sculptra in conjunction with thread lifts. Both treatments are designed to enhance facial volume and stimulate collagen production, but they work through different mechanisms. Sculptra is a biostimulatory filler that helps restore volume over time by stimulating your body’s collagen production. Injection Technique: An experienced injector can administer Sculptra without compromising the integrity of the threads. They are trained to be aware of the thread placement and can strategically inject the Sculptra in a manner that minimizes any risk of damaging the threads. It’s important to discuss with your provider the specific location of the threads to ensure the injections are placed appropriately. Timing and Consultation: It might be advisable to wait a few weeks after your thread lift before receiving Sculptra injections. This allows any initial swelling from the thread lift to subside and provides a clearer understanding of where volume may be needed. A thorough consultation with your dermatologist or aesthetic specialist is crucial to developing a personalized plan that considers the timing and placement of both treatments. Warm regards,
