I am considering getting Sculptra to hopefully improve my lower face. I’m almost 47 and my jawline and jowels are really bothering me. Since Sculptra is non reversible I would love to know if volume replacement would help me with the transition between my natural prominent cheekbones and jawline. Also the pre jowel area.
Answer: Consider A Reversible HA Volumizer Filler For Contouring A Straighter, More Defined Jawline Today we have excellent HA volumizing fillers that have a proven track record for contouring, straightening and defining jowly jawlines with results lasting between a year to 1.5 years. I stopped using Sculptra quite a few years ago, when these newer more robust HA fillers were introduced and received their FDA approval. It was difficult for me to justify Sculptra's use at that point. It was more expensive and there was no enzyme to reverse it if the results of treatment were unsatisfactory or there was an adverse reaction. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Sculptra for Jawline and Jowls: Expert Advice from Dr. Anna Chacon Thank you for your question and for considering Sculptra as a treatment option. Sculptra is a popular choice for those looking to rejuvenate and enhance facial volume, and it can be effective in improving the appearance of the jawline and jowls. Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production, which can help restore volume and create a more lifted and youthful appearance over time. Here are some considerations: Volume Enhancement: Sculptra can help in adding volume to areas that have lost fullness due to aging, including the pre-jowl area. This can lead to a smoother transition between your cheekbones and jawline. Gradual Results: Unlike some fillers, Sculptra provides gradual improvements as it stimulates your body’s own collagen production. Results typically become noticeable over a few months and can last up to two years. Non-Surgical Option: As a non-surgical treatment, Sculptra offers a less invasive way to address concerns with the jawline and jowls, which can be appealing if you are looking to avoid surgery. Consultation: I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon. They can assess your specific facial structure and discuss how Sculptra can be tailored to meet your aesthetic goals. Considerations: Since Sculptra is not reversible, it is crucial to work with an experienced injector who understands facial anatomy and can deliver natural-looking results. I hope this information helps you make an informed decision about your treatment options. Warm regards,
