Hello! I am 5’9.5 and 155 pounds have good muscle tone. I have implants that are 500cc and I’m wanting to go to 800cc or 900cc. Will this be too big for me? Can someone show me similar after pictures of someone with this size and around my height 5’8-5’11?
Answer: Breast implants Breast implants are sized according to their volume in cubic centimeters (cc). How do you know what size implant to choose? Looking at pictures and talking to friends who had a breast augmentation might help. Off course the volume will depend on the shape and size of your actual breasts, your frame and the size you want to achieve. Our plastic surgeon will advise you thoroughly. Bringing pictures of a desired restult to be shown to our surgeon, might be very helpful.

Answer: Implants Yes, 800 to 900 cc's saline implants are too big! Please do not chose such large and heavy implants that will stretch and thin your tissue over time and sag. Big boobs sitting on your lap do not look good.

Answer: What would 800-900 cc look like on someone who is 5’9" and 155 pounds? Is this too much? Tall women with large frames and broad chests, shoulders, and hips can often handle larger implants that would make smaller women's chests look overcrowded and heavy. Realize that implants of 600cc and higher will create more tissue thinning over time, have more potential for rippling, more potential for bottoming out, greater likelihood of breast lift revisions, etc. None of the modalities to approximate final results from breast implants are 100% accurate; they merely facilitate the patient and the board certified PS concurring on the size and type of breast implant which will come the closest to reaching the patient's goal. My patients prefer to try on implant sizers under garments they typically wear (workout tops, bikini, tight sweater, low cut dress) to determine if they fit as expected and help allay some of their trepidation associated with this decision. I would recommend that you go with the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy.

Answer: What would 800-900 cc look like Breast implants in the 800-900 cc range are large implants although not out of the question for somebody who has a frame large enough for them. The overlying tissue is also important in your surgeon will evaluate you for that. If you currently already have 500 mL, this represents an approximate 300 to 400 mL increase and would be possible to somewhat demonstrate with the use of sizers or 3D imaging. Your surgeon will also most likely have a conversation with you regarding issues that come with larger implants including the effects of the weight of the implants.

Answer: Size might be ok After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and profile implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them.
