Hi, What can I Do about the hollow inner eye corner? I had tear trough and cheek filler but it did nothing for the inner eye corner. They said they couldn’t put it in that area. If anything I think it looks worse than before the fillers.
Answer: Addressing Hollow Inner Eye Corners: Treatment Options and Considerations Hollow inner eye corners can be a challenging area to treat, especially if previous filler treatments did not address your concerns. Here are some potential options and considerations for managing this issue: Reassessment of Filler Placement: It may be beneficial to have a consultation with a different experienced injector who can assess whether a different technique or type of filler might be more effective for your specific anatomy. Some practitioners may have advanced training in treating delicate areas like the inner eye corner. Alternative Treatments: In addition to fillers, there are other treatments that might improve the appearance of hollow inner eye corners: Laser Treatments: Lasers can help improve skin texture and stimulate collagen production, which may reduce the appearance of hollows. Microneedling: This procedure can also stimulate collagen and improve skin quality around the eyes. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy: PRP injections can enhance skin thickness and rejuvenation in the under-eye area. Surgical Options: If non-surgical treatments are insufficient, a consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon might be warranted. Procedures such as fat grafting or lower eyelid surgery can provide more permanent solutions. Skincare and Maintenance: Using eye creams with ingredients like retinol, hyaluronic acid, or peptides can help improve skin quality over time, though they may not significantly change the volume. Next Steps: Consult with a Specialist: Seek a second opinion from a board-certified dermatologist or oculoplastic surgeon with experience in treating the under-eye area. Consider Non-Surgical Alternatives: Discuss alternative treatments that could complement or improve upon previous filler results. Evaluate Surgical Options: If appropriate, explore surgical interventions that might provide a more lasting resolution. Addressing this specific aesthetic concern often requires a tailored approach, so professional guidance is crucial for achieving the best outcome.

Answer: Fillers may be considered for lower eyelid grooves. I am not sure why your doctor didn't fill the persistent grooves in between your nose and eyes. If the lower portion of the grooves filled well, I believe this should fill well also. Caution must be taken out of place too much, since she would not want to have a puffy lower eyelid appearance. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Effective Treatments for Hollow Inner Eye Corners: Personalized Solutions for Restoring Volume Hollow inner eye corners, or medial canthal hollowing, can be effectively treated with options like PRF Biofiller, which uses your own platelets to restore volume and stimulate skin regeneration for a natural, long-lasting result. Belotero Balance, a hyaluronic acid filler, is perfect for subtle volume restoration in the delicate eye area, with results lasting 6-12 months. Other fillers like Juvederm or Restylane also work well for this region. For a more permanent solution, fat grafting offers long-lasting volume by using your own fat but requires a more invasive procedure. Since every case is unique, treatment recommendations should be made only after an in-person consultation with a qualified provider to assess your specific needs.
