If I shave after a Beard Transplant will there be permanent black spots?

I’ve seen a few pictures of black spots when someone has a beard transplant and then clean shaves. All the websites say that your transplant behaves like a normal beard, but if I clean shave now there are no marks. My question is, if I clean shave after having a beard transplant, will there be permanent black spots and what are they? Are they scars and do they improve or can they be treated. Thanks.

Transplanted scalp hair behaves like a normal beard. I'm guessing the black spots you're referring to aren't scars. Rather, they're hair shafts from grafts implanted to deep. It appears that the hair shafts grow from a hole while the skin pulls downwards around the shaft of the hair. The result is an inability to shave cleanly.

A good beard transplant doesn't leave any scars on the recipient area. We use the sapphire blade to perform the incisions during the beard transplant restoration. After 3-4 months post-operation, the patient can shave zero the beard and he won't have any scar or black point. It will be as a normal beard.
