Question

I had sclerotheraly done a week ago I wore stockings for four days. Today my leg feels funny as if I have shin splints and my thigh muscle feels slightly sore. My calf does not hurt at all. The spider veins injected were not very bad or deep they were pretty small. Should I be worried or is this normal?blood cots do scare me. I wore the stockings during the day at work and was told to take them off if I'm not doing much. At work I sit at a computer all day at work Should I be worried?

If you have new onset symptoms after sclerotherapy, it is important to get a venous Doppler study to exclude deep vein blood clots. x

It is common to have mild discomfort, soreness, tenderness and/or itching in the areas treated with sclerotherapy in the first few weeks after treatment. The treated areas can also look red, bruised or irritated for a few weeks. If your symptoms persist beyond a few weeks, I recommend following up with your physician.
