My fathers palm has a vein which get a little big and he can feel it pulsing. Today it suddenly got really swollen, as you see in the picture attached. He placed some ice and it got better. But now there's a bruise. What's that?!!
I had a varicose vein removed in my leg almost 2 years ago. After it was removed, I noticed a new cluster of veins that looks similar to a bruise. It's been 2 years now, and it never went away. I recently had an ultrasound on it, and the doctor said that the vein is open, but there is no reflux, so it can't be treated. Is there anyway to treat this either cosmetically or medically? It appears darker in person than in pictures. It's unsightly and I don't like wearing skirts or shorts now.
Had sclerotherapy done first week in Dec. Wore compression stockings for 3 weeks. At the 2 week mark or bit less, developed a blood clot an inch away from the feeder vein injection site . Had an ultrasound to confirm it. Dr in emerg said it was a superficial thrombophlebitis. Advised to use warm and cold compresses and aleve if needed. Now in the spot where blood clot was its bit red, no pain but skin is warm an tender but no real pain other than both legs feel bit achey. Wondering if I might have something wrong with my blood vessels as the bruising from sclerotherapy is still very prominent 12 /13 wks later
I had a skin pen with prp on 7/16/19 got 2 black eyes. It has been 8 weeks and I still have discoloration under both eyes. I have just been prescribed hydroquinone whitening cream but have read that its not enough to penetrate the staining. What is the best laser to help? And did the nurse inject wrong? She used a needle vs a cannula. I am devastated and never imaged permanent damage from a facial. Any help and advice welcomed! Also pictures dont do the bruising justice. Makeup barely covers and Ive spent hundreds on top brands and cover ups.
Had sclerotherapy on my ankle (>8 months). Last week, a new doctor treated the same area. During the treatment, blood filled each injection site & left me with dark marks like deep bruises. The past week, I wore compression stalkings all day, the marks have faded but now the skin has the appearance and texture of a scar. Im concerned this doctor damaged my skin - I did not have this side effect with my previous doctor. Please advise if this is normal and/or result of improper technique.
I got sclerotherapy for my spider veins for the first time a few days ago. I have had no bruising, and I have had no pain. My concern is that each day when I wake up it appears that my spider veins are darkening again. Is it part of the process for them to lighten initially and then to darken again? When can I expect to see the final results? Thank you!
I recently have gone thru laser and injections for my veins. During the process after completion. I have noticed from my knee up mid point of my inner thigh the colors of bruising, blues, reds etc. and also on the front part of bothe legs from the ankle height again midpoint. Was told by the doctors who treated the veins that its the dead/dried blood working its way out. Is that possible or should I be concerned. My last visit was 10/2017
I recently had GSV ablation done on both legs (L leg a little over a week go, and the R leg three days ago). I have swelling on the inner knee in both legs and am curious how long this can last. I dont have a ton of pain, bruising, or discomfort, so Im hoping this is a normal side effect that will diminish as time goes by.
Hi. I had Sclerotherapy on leg thread veins and bruised after and they now look worse almost 2 weeks later. Can this be expected and is it part of the normal healing process? I have a post treatment review next month but would value your opinions in the meantime. Thanks.
I recently had thigh lipo, after the bruising subsided around week 4, I realized I was left with horrific broken spider veins all over my legs. I'm also still getting electrical shocks of pain in the thigh. The broken veins are so dark that leg makeup will not cover them, it's devastating. Is sclerotherapy for broken spider veins effective? How long after lipo can I get sclerotherapy-Is it safe? I've read it can cause more pain, dangerous blood clots, and other dangerous side effects.
