Sebaceous Hyperplasia commonly seen on the face can be treated with high fluence (high energy) parameters with the Excel V laser. Electrocautery also is very useful in treating this genetic condition. The Excel V is unable to treat sebaceous hyperplasia. This needs to be treated with electrodessication, ablative lasers, liquid nitrogen, or excision. They usually come back and scarring can occur with these therapies.
The ExcelV is a wonderful vascular laser and is great at treating many things. It will not help to treat the enlarged sebaceous glands you have. I use simple electrocautery to treat these with great results. Best.
Excel V is not a laser I use for sebaceous bumps. I typically use an erbium or Co2 laser or light cautery to specifically remove those bumps prior to doing a facial rejuvenation with the Excel V. Make sure you are going to board certified dermatologist for your skin rejuvenation procedures, especially on the face.

There is always swelling with the Excel V laser treatments. It will not affect tear trough or fat. Perhaps some topical steroids will be helpful.
