The guidelines for IPL treatment and lasers with Accutane advise a waiting period of approximately one month as the drug is fairly quick to leave your system. However, if you are using it on only a monthly basis at a small dosage there should not be an issue as long as you start an IPL treatment with small parameters as oppossed to an agressive treatment.
Thank you for your question! After a full course of Accutane, my recommendation is to wait 6 months before undergoing a chemical or laser/light peel procedure. For a low-dose, incomplete course of Accutane, it really is up to the practitioner to make a judgement call. If you have a tendency to scar, I would wait longer (perhaps 3 months); if not, then 1 month may be adequate for your skin to recover. Best of luck!
My opinion would be to stop the use of any Retinol cream or topical products containing tretinoin 7-10 days prior to your IPL appointment and until your skin has completely healed from the laser.

Thanks for your question and posting pictures. When you first posted a couple of days ago, I suspected something. With this latest round of pictures, it looks like the IPL triggered an HSV outbreak. You have a cold sore. The HSV virus can lie dormant for years. I can be triggered by many...
Removing facial veins requires high-powered light energy that must be calibrated precisely to the pigment in your skin and the deoxyhemoglobin in your unwanted veins. An at-home system can’t do that. They don’t have enough power or precision to remove facial veins and you could end up dam...
