Am I Able To Drink Smoothies With invisalign inside my mouth?

I am in high school and all the students eat in a cafeteria and I was wondering if I could drink a smoothie for lunch with my invisalign in or if I have to take it out?

Yes, it is possible to drink smoothies with invisalign on, however, after finishing your smoothy, you should remove and wash the tray and brash your teeth as well. This is done to avoid sugar trapped between the tray and the teeth. This sugar can cause decay and decalcification of your enamel

Hi, Agurl1.  I don't recommend drinking anything but water with you Invisalign aligners in.  Drinks such as smoothies can have a lot of sugar.  The smoothie can get inside you aligners and get trapped in there.  As such, the sugar would just be sitting on your teeth for an extended period of time which could leave to cavities.  Best practice would be to remove your aligners before drinking.  To take it a step further, rinse out your mouth with water or even drink some water before placing your aligners back in.  Good look with your Invisalign treatment!
