Those prominent vertical lines are called platysmal bands. They pop up when the underlying neck muscles separate a bit or become overactive when you speak or swallow. Because this is strictly a muscle issue and not a skin issue, Ultherapy won't be able to fix it, as Ultherapy only targets skin laxity. For a really natural, refined result without going back to the OR, the easiest and most effective fix is a neuromodulator like Botox or Dysport. We inject it right into those bands to relax the muscle, allowing everything to lay smooth and flat again. It's a very quick appointment, though you would need to maintain it every 3-4 months. If you are looking for a permanent structural fix, you would want to touch base with your original surgeon about a minor revision.
