Interested in Sculptra for bottom - cheaper than a BBL. (photos)

Question

I know a lot of doctors are opposed to this, but where can I find a doctor that does this? They're usually not advertised since BBL is advertised everywhere. Plastic surgeons usually give me a price quote of $10-12k for BBL, and I'm looking for something cheaper, even temporary

I think that many plastic surgeons are opposed to injectable butt lifts such as the Sculptra Butt Lift because of the cost as well as the less dramatic results that can be obtained with surgery. I think there are many patients who would be excellent candidates for this procedure.1. Issue of dramatic results.  Not everyone wants a large butt like the Kardashians.  I think this is a fad that will pass.  The beauty of using Sculptra is that you can have multiple procedures titrating the effect until you are satisfied with the results avoiding an over filled buttock.2.  Cost.  The cost of BBL is greater than Sculptra injections in the short term as BBL results will probably last longer.  I have been able to make the Sculptra Butt Lift procedure very affordable for my patients as I charge the same as I would for facial Sculpra injections for the first 2 vials and then steeply discount the remaining vials during each treatment session as it doesnt take that much longer for an experienced injector to inject 2 vials vs 10 vials.  I also like adding PRP to my Sculptra butt lift injections as this may increase both the effect and duration of the results.If you are looking to see a plastic surgeon in New York I would be happy to see you.

BBL is a great option for a surgical approach to a buttox enhancement, and Sculptra is a great nonsurgical approach. To find the specialists near you, I believe that you can search directly on Sculptra’s website to find a directory of offices that carry the product. However, I would be mindful to ensure that the providers are board certified experts and familiar with the procedure that you are interested in. Please note that depending on your desired results, you may require multiple vials and/or rounds of Sculptra, which will affect your overall treatment cost. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple consultation with board certified expert injectors regarding reaching your aesthetic goals with Sculptra. This way, you can determine the pros and cons of the surgical and nonsurgical buttox enhancement options.

Thank you for your question. Yes, Sculptra can be used to improve the shape of the buttocks. Keep in mind, the buttocks need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and will need to be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired results. If you are willing to travel to San Diego, I would be happy to evaluate you in person for a nonsurgical BBL with Sculptra. Nonsurgical BBL is actually one of my areas of expertise. Creating  a slightly larger,  more beautifully contoured and smoother buttocks area with Sculptra is an advanced procedure and therefore you must be sure to work with someone who has done this many times before. With Sculptra, the buttocks can be enlarged and elevated, but not to the degree of a full BBL.  Sculptra will usually require 4 to 8 vials, which would be much less expensive than the price you quoted. I’m glad you mentioned you don’t mind if the results are temporary. After a series of treatments, Sculptra will last 2 to 2 ½ years. I often top it off every 12 – 18 months with 1 -2 vials in order to maintain the look. I have a feeling that the very large BBL may not be as popular 5 – 10 years from now, so having a BBL with Sculptra allows you the option of letting the effect wear off slowly, should the fashion ideals change.   Sculptra can be used to augment the buttocks in patients who do not wish to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure. This procedure is completely non-surgical and can help to enhance the buttocks for a more shapelier appearance. Those who do not have enough excess fat on the body for BBL can often benefit from this procedure. At my Beverly Hills, CA office, I perform buttock enhancement with Sculptra and achieve naturally-enhancing results. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photos.  I don't think Sculptra is the most cost effective option for buttock augmentation, and really is best for patients who either don't have sufficient fat for fat transfer/BBL, or are only looking for subtle volume in isolated dimpled areas.  To give you an idea, most injectors use 10-20 vials of Sculptra over a series of treatments for buttock augmentation, at a price of $600-1,000 per vial - that means a full course of treatment would run anywhere from $6,000-20,000.  I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss the best treatment options for you.  Best of luck!
