I have OCD and am worried about my latisse not being as effective if I applied it one night when my eyes were a bit watery. Will my whole bottle be contaminated or can I continue to use the latisee? I use the cap method for application where I put the drops in the cap and dip the applicator in the cap to apply the latisse.

Answer: Latisse for Eyelashes Thanks for your question. While the cap method helps you maybe minimize the amount of product lost, you do run the risk of contaminating the product if you "double dip." The instructions for use that accompany the product recommend using one drop on one brush for one eye, and then another drop on another brush for the second eye. By using a different brush for each eye you help minimize the transfer of infection or bacteria from one eye to the other. In order to use the product in the safest manner it is best to follow product recommendations. If you consider that you possibly contaminated your whole bottle then that's much more money lost than if you end up saving a few drops in the long run by using the cap method.
