I am a 23 year old, I struggled with a boxier face so i got masseter botox twice 25 units each side both times. Due to this i noticed that i lost volume in my face/cheeks and my lower face seems to now have no definition now. my chin also seems to have gotten shorter and my lower face just looks boxy and droopy now. this is ruining my self esteem can anything be done? i was thinking of a nefirtiti lift?

First, it’s important to know that what you’re experiencing is not uncommon. Botox in the masseter muscles works by relaxing the chewing muscles, which can soften the jawline, but in some cases, especially in younger patients or those with naturally fuller cheeks, it can create the appearance of loss of lower face definition or “sagging.”

Some key points to consider:

Temporary changes: The effects of Botox are reversible. The muscle relaxation and subsequent facial changes typically last 3–6 months, and your jaw muscles and definition will gradually return as the Botox wears off.

Cheek and midface volume: Sometimes the apparent “loss of definition” is due to unmasked cheek or midface volume loss, which can be addressed with dermal fillers if desired. Strategically placed filler in the cheeks, jawline, or chin can restore contour and lift the lower face.
