You’re absolutely right that TMJ-related muscle overactivity can contribute to facial asymmetry, often making one side of the face look bulkier. In those cases, Botox (or other neuromodulators) placed into the masseter muscle can help relax it, slim the lower face, and create more balance.
That said, facial asymmetry is multifactorial and can also involve bone structure, soft tissue volume, and skin laxity. Beyond Botox, we often use dermal fillers for facial balancing (to restore symmetry in the cheeks, chin, or jawline), and biostimulatory injectables like Sculptra to gradually build collagen and improve contour in a very natural way.
For your hooded eyes, Botox can sometimes give a mild lift by relaxing muscles that weigh down the brow, but surgical options may be needed if skin excess is significant.
