Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photo. Yes, the lower lip should be larger than the upper lip. Some patients prefer similar sized lips, but the upper lip should not be bigger than the lower. I hope this helps. Make sure you see an expert injector for your treatment. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. There is an "ideal" lip proportion that is about 1:1.6 (top lip:bottom lip). With that being said, everyone is unique and all facial features must be taken into account when analyzing the face. Best of luck!
Dear lcp9,I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times. For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Keeping the ratios close to what is common for your ethnicity will help ensure the results look really natural.

I suggest having a consultation with a local ENT or ear nose and throat doctor. they now sometimes called them selves head and neck surgeons. This could be a mucocele, benign tumor but regardless I would think you would want it removed. Any plastic surgeon should be able to help you as well...
From your photos it appears you are a good candidate for lip fillers. You can start conservatively and build to get the results you want. Keep in mind that it is common for lips to swell after injection, so you will want to give yourself a full two weeks before analyzing the final result.
