Just below the crown I have an area of red, inflamed scalp. I have no burning or itching but perhaps a bit more sensitivity in the zone when touched. I have been diagnosed and suffering SD for many years. Could it be just SD or something else like folliculitis? My scalp has been like that for a couple weeks now.

Combination treatment will likely provide the strongest results. I prefer oral minoxidil as a solo treatment rather than topical minoxidil or PRP alone. I would recommend that oral minoxidil + PRP would be strongest.
