Is fat transfer a good solution for hollow, dark under eyes?

Yes , for many patients fat transfer without surgery can be done as an office procedure with major improvement in hollowing. It will not change the color but will soften tear trough deformities and decrease shadowing which can make darkness less visible. Choose an experienced surgeon. I have seen lumpiness which is more of a risk with a less experienced surgeon

Fat transfer addresses hollowness and darkness under the eyes while a blepharoplasty improves loose or "crepey" eyelid skin and pseudoherniated fat (under eye bags). Which of these you need depends on what problem you have. Most commonly I perform both a blepharoplasty with fat transfer (or fat repositioning), but some patients only have hollowness and for them I will perform under eye fat transfer as a standalone procedure.
