I recently realized I went overboard with filler and look a little crazy. I feel like I messed up my own natural, delicate face and made it huge. My question is, if I want ti remove some of the filler in my cheeks now would it cause my cheeks/mid face to sag? Thank you for your time!
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: It depends on the filler amount injected It depends mainly on the filler amount injected previously. The smaller amount injected will leave less effects after dissolving. With larger filler amounts, it depends on the speed your tissues will loose the Volume; the faster it loose volume (By dissolving the filler), the more sagging you might notice. I recommend that you let it go and dissolve Naturally over time. This will give your tissues the chance to replace some of the lost volume.

Answer: Removing facial fillers Thank you for your question. The most important determinant in answering your question is the type of filler was was injected. If you have used HA fillers then hyaluronidase injections should dissolve it; however, HA filler does not normally persist and it is generally expected to breakdown spontaneously in 9-12 months and would not require removal. However, if you have used calcium hydroxylapatite, collagen or silicone, removal will not be easy. I recommend contacting the physician who has been treating you and discuss your options. With regards to potential sagging after successful removal of the filler, it is highly likely as is the case any time soft tissue has been expanded and then the expander is removed.
