Is there a temporary cement for provisional veneers? (Photo)

I got some provisional veneers made up for my 4 upper front teeth. After 3 months of re-bonding them as they came off every couple of days or more than once in 1 day, they were no longer viable. A new set has been made. My dentist insists that there is no such thing as a provisional cement, meant to hold for a try-in period, a week or so. She says only temporary cement good for a couple of hours, or permanent. Permanent could mean temps have to be ground off, defeating their whole purpose

While there are temporary cements on the market, they are designed for full crowns and not veneers.  There are methods to get temporary veneers to be more secure, including spot bonding, but the whole ordeal should only BE for a few weeks.3 MONTHS in temporary veneers is unusual.  MOST cases are complete within 2-3 weeks.

The provisional period for veneers should only be for a few weeks at the maximum. What is the reason for waiting on the final restorations?  Permanent veneers should stay in if they are bonded to the teeth. If you are waiting and the veneers are already made, it may be very difficult to seat the veneers at this point as the teeth can drift if the temporaries have been compromised as in this case.  I would imagine there will have to be a fee to make a new temporary (solid temporary of all 4 teeth) and this could be spot bonded to all 4 teeth. There is no type of temporary cement available for veneers. It is unusual that you are wearing temps for as long as you have. Is there a reason why you haven't moved forward?
