My main concern is the fact that my jawline looks somewhat like a cone. How can I make it look it more square and masculine?
Answer: What will make my jawline more masculine and square? Your chin could be made to have better projection. If you’re not sure you’re ready for surgery, but still want to improve and strengthen your chin and profile, I’d suggest augmenting your chin with Sculptra and/or Voluma. I’d also remove the fat underneath your chin with liposuction or Kybella. If you like your new look, you can make it permanent with a chin implant.

Answer: How to get rid of a pointy chin and make jawline look more masculine and square? Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. Non smiling photos of your face from the side would help in the evaluation of whether or not your chin is weak. I suspect from the front photos that it is. In addition, there may be some element of chin muscle ptosis that would further elongate and make the chin appear "pointy". When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Hope this helps.

Answer: Facial shape and definition The angularity of the face can be achieved by considering the 'slope' of the jawline and the width of the gonial/jawline angles/near the ear. Altering the chin contour to make more 'square/contoured' along with augmenting the jawline works well. (see website). The jawline has to balance with the cheekbone area, so consider that area as well when you are defining the treatment plan

Answer: Wanting a more Defined Square Jawline Dear adrian_d6, You really need to send in a better set of photographs that are frontal facial views and profiles where the chin is at the same angle for a proper evaluation. Or you can seek consultations with some experts in the field and after an examination then proper treatment options can be discussed. In these photographs you appear to have a nicely defined jawline. See examples in the link and video below. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
