Great question! The Exilis of course uses a unique combination of radiofrequency and ultrasound energy to tighten skin and burn fat. An ultrasound gel is used on the area and it does feel hot, but certainly is not unbearable. Most of our patients that have treatments say its rather relaxing. It's always important to communicate with your provider so they know your expectations, and if it is too hot for you, tell them! We have not personally ran into that here, and Exilis is one of our more popular treatments. Best of luck!
Exilis ultra uses combination of radio frequency and ultrasound to tighten skin and stimulate collagen growth. Treatment should feel like a hot stone massage not a burning sensation. Strength of the treatment can be adjusted to your comfort.Exilis ultra produces enough heat to break fat cells and cause skin to tightening. This treatment is commonly performed on the body with very satisfactory results. It is not recommend to break submental “double chin” fat with the Exilis ultra or face. To treat face mostly the tightening aspect of the treatment is utilized. It will tighten skin and will decrease apperance of double chin but it will not reduce the amount of fat.
There should be NO pain with a BTL Exilis Ultra treatment anywhere on the body. It should feel VERY warm, much like a hot shower or hot rock treatment. Your skin will likely have some redness following the treatment, but that should fade within an hour or two. Exilis Ultra uses Radio Frequency combined with Ultrasound to improve the elastin in the skin and increase collagen production to tighten the skin. Be sure you are being treated with the Exilis ULTRA, as previous versions of Excilis can be more uncomfortable and less effective. The neck and chin area is quite receptive to treatment. It should not be done directly on the jawbone, but very nice results can be had by working just above and below. Four to six treatments per area is recommended.
There should be no problem having exilis done 2 months after having fillers to that area. I advise patients to wait 2 weeks after fillers to do exilis treatments.
Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Buccal fat pad removal is a surgical procedure giving your jawline a more contoured appearance. Exilis of the face does not melt fat cells, it is used to tighten areas of the face where loose skin is present. To be sure what is best for you, see...
Exilis Ultra 360 combines radio frequency and ultrasound which does beautifully to tighten sagging skin. Each treatment lasts about an hour and is very comfortable. It is recommended to have around 4 treatments to obtain amazing results.
