Can I take Accutane while on Spironolactone? 23 year old woman, 100 mg dose of spiro

I want to be done with acne so I want to give accutane a try but I also don't want to explode with acne if I get off of spiro. My questions are: Is it safe to take both simultaneously? Will accutane be as effective if on spiro as well? Should I lower my spiro dose while on Accutane? I'm about 106 pounds, what should my dosage be and for how long should I be on accutane?

Accutane is very drying and it is best not to use another retinoid. The drug must be used in an adequate dose for 15-20 weeks. The proper total dose is 150 mg per kilogram. Three months was inadequate. You need to take for 15-20 weeks and reach total cummulative dose of 150 mg per kilogram. For a 132 lb pound person that is 9000 mg. Lower doses wil increase chances of recurrence.
