6 days post op-just started bruising vs normal healing? Exhaustion, fatigue, no obvious swelling. (photos)

Thank you for your question and photos.  Having some bruising is normal after surgery.  Usually by 5-7 days most of the bruising is resolving.  There is often bruising at the bottom of the breast because gravity pulls things down and a small amount of blood can settle at the bottom of the implant pocket.  Six days is very early, most of the things you are describing are normal.  Stay in close contact with your surgeon if any thing changes.  They will help guide you through your after surgery care.Best of luck

You appear to have a good early result, though I would have placed your incisions more under the breast rather than closer to the sides, and would have used a shorter incision.Bruising tends to settle with gravity, so this is the appropriate time for it to show. You don't appear to have asymmetric swelling, so it is unlikely this blood is from inside the pocket, but more likely from the incision closure.Many surgeons will recommend an Ace wrap or surgical bra, often to help minimize post-operative oozing that can lead to the bruises you sometimes see. I use only an elastic bandeau at night to help keep the implants from moving towards the armpits, and to provide a bit of gravity when supine. During the day, I ask my patients to go braless until their implants drop into a better position, after which I recommend a supportive and not-overly compressive bra.The key is to follow your own surgeon's advice, as it is he or she to whom you will go if there is any concern. I see none to worry about at this point, and your symptoms are absolutely "normal" for this stage of your healing. If you have any increasing symptoms or other concerns, you should ask your surgeon.
