Hi! I was wondering if you could tell me if my breasts look tubular/tuberous. I’m also thinking about getting implants and wanted to know if implants alone would work or if I’d likely need a lift. I’ve never had kids. Thank you.

Tuberous breast characteristics exist on a spectrum &mdash; a constricted (narrow) base, a tight or high fold under the breast, herniation of tissue into the areola, and wide spacing between the breasts. Mild forms are common and often go unnoticed. If features are mild, a dual-plane implant placement with lowering of the fold and internal release of the constricted tissue usually works without a lift. A lift (or areola-reduction component) becomes necessary mainly when there is true drooping or significant areolar herniation. Looking at your photos specifically: your inframammary fold needs to be lowered also compared to nipple and your breasts are spaced apart so fat injection to midline additional to your breast implants may give better aesthetic results , but your base is not very narrow and the tissue under the areola is not significantly herniated so no need to remove tissue under areola. Since you have never given birth, giving implants alone &mdash; without a lift &mdash; a chance would be the more advantageous route for you.
