Using sensitive toothpaste before Zoom! Whitening. Any suggestions?

If i use potassium nitrate toothpaste to clog the enamel pores to avoid sensitivity prior the procedure, will it make the whitening process less effective? thanks in advance!

Yes, using MI Paste or Sensodyne Toothpaste works well if applied before whitening, but If you havesensitive teeth, I would stay away from Zoom!  You will have good results with Zoom, but you will have very sensitive teeth after the whitening for quite sometime.  We use Kor Whitening in our practice for people with sensitive teeth. It is a little more costly, but it is a great whitening product without the sensitivity.  Look it up on the internet before you decide to use Zoom!

That will help with the sensitivity a little. If you have very sensitive teeth you can also opt for local anesthetic during the procedure. There will definitely be some sensitivity afterwards that you can manage with over the counter pain meds. The duration can be a few days.

you can do that. but even after using  sensitivity  tooth paste , sensitivity will come after whitening procedure.

It does not hurt to try.  Zoom procedures can create quite a bit of sensitivity so anything to help improve that is a good idea.  Good luck!
