I'm planning on doing a lipo on my triceps, full ab, thighs and knees to transfer the fat to my breasts. My doctor told me the scarring would look a freckle that's barely there on all incision parts. What is your opinion? I'm concerned because my skin is flawless so any scarring would be very apparent.

Answer: Liposuction Hello, Thanks for sharing your query. The incisions made during liposuction are less than 5mm some surgeons may or may not close it. But the sacrring is very minimal and in all hidden locations. Usually it will be pigmented for initial few days and by 3-6 months hardly visible. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Scarring post liposuction Scarring after liposuction will produce very minimal scarring however some clients may experience blemishes around the scar or a halo of discoloration around the lip site. Some doctors use protective shields for their lipo incisions and this can mitigate this problem. If these skin protectors are not used, the early application of skin lighters to these incisions may help. If any discoloration is present after 3 months you should address this matter with your dermatologist or your plastic surgeon to identify additional options for treatment.
