Orthodontic treatment for bimaxillary protrusion, with teeth extraction? (Photo)

moonhalfmoonhalf
I recently consulted with a local orthodontist regarding orthodontic treatment with teeth extraction for bimaxillary protrusion, but he was not very clear on what kind of results I could expect. As you can see from my profile, the bottom half of my face is protruding and I would prefer it to be more aligned with the top half of my face. Would orthodontic treatment be able to achieve this? Also, I have a fairly narrow long face, I'm wondering if such treatment will elongate my face?
