Yes, laser hair removal works well on ingrown hairs by treating the underlying problem that is leading to this condition.  It is safe to have the laser treatments despite the irritation.  However, we discourage waxing, threading, tweezing when you initiate a laser treatment plan as this will hinder your progress and disrupt the hair growth cycle.

Laser hair removal also promote healthier skin being that you remove the source of constant irritation.

The below link offers more information on the process.  Being that this is the most popular laser treatment performed, we believe you will find the outcomes rewarding.  The technology and the one performing the treatment are important factors in a successful treatment plan.

Hello, thank you for your question.  Yes it is OK to go ahead with your LHR treatment.  The nice thing about LHR is that all of the irritation of the follicles re-growing will be eliminated.  You will definitely have to complete a series of treatments, usually 6-8 treatments done every 4-8 weeks depending on the area being treated. You will be very happy!

Good Luck!
