I received Botox between my eyebrows, I accidentally pressed on a bump 1 1/2 hours after the injection above my eyebrow. Enough to feel pain and realize it was a Botox bump. I was wondering if it was a pimple. I am nervous that my pressure would cause the Botox to migrate 90 minutes after injection. I don’t want droopy eyelid.
Answer: Botox/Xeomin/Dysport--Results Take 1-2 weeks No, this is unlikely to cause your Botox to migrate. However, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Will my Botox migrate? Eyebrow droop typically is associated with injection site location rather than migration of the product. However, Botox can migrate, unlikely with your scenario. Pressing on the bump 1.5 hours after placement will likely not cause any eyelid droop. Follow up with your injector in 2 weeks to discuss any question or concerns that you may have. Hope this helps.

Answer: Botox Bump Eyebrow droop usually has more to do with inappropriate placement of the Botox in the first place by the injector rather than migration of the product. Pressing on the bump 1.5 hours after placement will likely not cause any eyelid droop. Nonetheless, if you have any concerns, you should follow up with your injector around the 2 week mark for evaluation.Hope that helps,Hardik Doshi, M.D.Facial & Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon

Answer: This can cause the product to migrate. After Botox is injected it is important not to rub or massage the area, this can cause the product to migrate. However, touching the area one time by accident should not cause any issues. Droopy eyelids are caused by injecting to close to the brow or to much Botox injected. I hope this helps! Remember Botox can take up to 10 days befor you see results.

Answer: Botox Migration Assuming the Botox was properly injected, it is very unlikely that pressing on the injection site will cause the Botox to migrate and extremely unlikely that it will cause a droopy eyelid. As it takes 2 weeks to see the full results from a Botox treatment, I would wait for the results to come in. After two weeks, if you continue to have questions about your treatment, I would recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with your provider to go over your results.
