Never got reply the first time, so asking again. I have a wide tear along outer incision line that keeps popping open after stitch removal. Doc advised ointment and tape all week (stitch removal was 1 week ago). What can I do to heal properly? I fear a deep scar. Warm compresses? ice? Should I continue ointment with tape, or let air out with nothing on it? My surgeon lives far and I'm trying avoid going back. He wasn't very good. Do you think it should be re-stitched? Will it leave a deep hole/scar?
