If Exilis results aren't permanent, does your skin tightening just revert back to how it was after 1.5 years?

Question

Having many treatments (just set to skin tightening) done to body because of laxity from an illness when I couldn't eat. So after a year and a half it will just go back to how was before the treatments?? Because it is not "normal aging" it is laxity caused by rapid weight loss and abdominal skin doesn't age as fast as faces do etc...

Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Studies have shown that results can last for up to two years. As long as you maintain your weight, results can last longer than those two years since the fat cells are actually removed/melted. Skin tightening will require more of a maintenance since our bodies naturally lose collagen with age though. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

The exillis and almost all the noninvasive thechiques cause a secondary increase in collagen levels. As we age our collagen level drops and the quality of what we have decreased. When we artificially increase the level the collagen stays elevated until your body says , hey what ever caused us to increase the collagen has ceased lets now allow our collagen to go back to normal levels for our age.THe skin likely remains slightly improved from before getting the treatment so its best to arrange follow up sessions maybe one or 2 every 1.5 years to keep up the levels.
