Can the depth of the eyelid crease be controlled in Asian eyelid surgery? (photos)

In the photo I uploaded, I like how deep and defined the first photo is. The second photo, her eyelid crease looks like a lot "shallow". Is it possible to control how deep the crease ends up for Asian blepharoplasty?

Thank you for your question.  The fold depth can be controlled somewhat depending on where you anchor the fold (lavator muscle vs tarsus), and how much dissection is made to hollow out that pretarsal segment.  But looking at the photos you posted, there are other factors other than the technical aspect of the surgery that would make the creases look different.  Assuming it's the same person on both photographs, the skin on the top photo looks thicker (perhaps more skin is excised so it is drifting higher onto the thicker eyebrow skin) so when it folds down onto the fold, it appears deeper.

The answer is yes and no. The appearance you refer to as "deep" depends on a number of factors. Some can be controlled and some cannot. A crease will look "deeper" if there is enough skin and underlying fat pad to drape over it to some degree. If there is relatively little fat pad, it will not look as "deep". The amount of soft tissue and fat pad depends on the person's eyelid anatomy and how much there is to begin with, her/his age, and how much of the pad is kept/removed during surgery. For example, those with less fat pad or with less Asian anatomy to begin with are limited as to how "deep" the crease will end up.
