Question

I'm not too concerned about it but I became curious about what the Dr. said afterwards, he just said the mole was deep. I guess he expected the entire mole to be removed during the procedure so I just wanted to know if deep moles are anything to be worried about?

Deep moles are not necessarily more concerning, but there is a chance of it returning. If necessary, it can be removed again with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question and photograph. "Deep" moles does not necessarily mean that they are concerning or malignant. It means that the cells of the mole are deeper in the skin and the mole may return over time. I highly recommend you consult with your physician to review the biopsy results and to discuss any further questions or concerns. Take care and good luck.
