I presume this question should go out to a dermatologist. Which peel provides better results: VI Precision or Jessner Peel? I have fine lines starting to form on my upper lip. I am an ex-smoker. I am Asian so my complexion is a bit darker. Thank you.

Answer: A grreat peel that can be done is a Melapeel. Combine this treatment with LaseMD and Melarase creams
I suggest you see a cosmetic dermatologist for treatment. You will need a combination of a few lasers (Vbeam and Clear+Brilliant with or without microneedling) to fix this as well as lightening creams. Best, Dr. Emer.
It usually takes about a full week for you to complete the peeling after a Vi Peel. Moisturize the area frequently (I tell my patients to use the post peel protectant 4 times a day). It just sounds like the area around your mouth hasn't stopped peeling yet.
The Vi peel is a proprietary blended peel that is limited to the epidermis and perhaps superficial dermis. We like it a lot. With all peels there can be some dryness and dehydration of the skin with the loss of the epidermal layer. This is temporary, and will reverse over time...
