Did bodytite get better (the bad reviews are usually a few years old)?

Did the bodytite equipment get better (or doctors just better at using them)? Because the very bad reviews are mostly from several years ago. What is the risk today of lumps and loose skin when it is done WITHOUT liposuction (for skin tightening alone)? Thank you.

Thank you for your question.  InMode the makers of BodyTite have made improvements on the device.  I have been using it since it has received FDA approval, and have been very happy with the results on my patients.  I have used it on the abdomen, flanks, legs (above the knees), lateral and medial thighs, bra roll, and face and neck.  Like I mentioned the results are very good.  It is patient specific, meaning you need to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and make sure you meet the criteria and fall into the spectrum for RFAL.  So it is very important to have an in person consultation with your PS.  Hope this is helpful.

You are right to question old reviews and reviews from outside the US.  The new BodyTite platform is better.  The newer one does not include suction and has improved temperature detection.  These improvements mean less risks of uneven results and burns.

Thank you for your question. BodyTite received FDA approval in 2016. Prior to that time, there were a number of units around the country that had combined RF and suction that had been authorized for sale pending the FDA approval. When the FDA cleared the BodyTite in the U.S., suction by the hand piece was not a part of the approval. Some of the early results I saw were more irregular several years ago. With the current design the results are much less likely to create lumps and irregularites. Loose skin relates to how extensive the stretch marks are and how aggressive the surgeon is with the settings. Proper screening of patients is important to be sure that their expectations can be met.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
